RESEARCH INTO SOCIAL STRUCTURES
Eric Rogers has extensive experience in future crafting through the imaginary and the aspirational, particularly in design charrettes aimed at envisioning the postcapitalist city. Zarinah has many years of working towards a just and diverse futurisms, as well as tactics & strategies for ensuring technofutures are there for all to participate in. Together they can help you open up the imaginary and carve paths towards those visions.
Dr. Agnew and Dr. Rogers, with over a decade of expertise, have dedicated themselves to constructing communes as dynamic experimental spaces for social innovation. These intentional communities serve as fertile grounds for pioneering alternative economics, innovative governance models, holistic systems of care, and groundbreaking financial structures. Through their sustained efforts, they have fostered environments that not only challenge conventional societal norms but also act as living laboratories, contributing significantly to the ongoing discourse on progressive and sustainable societal development.
Zarinah’s experience as a scientist has led them to run a non-profit that aims to conduct social science ‘in the wild’. To this end, Zarinah managed a groundbreaking 22-bedroom experimental hotel in San Francisco, a unique establishment that went beyond conventional hospitality. This innovative space doubled as a social science-themed hotel, community hub, and research laboratory dedicated to citizen science. Within its walls, Dr. Agnew orchestrated cutting-edge social science experiments, exploring themes of trust, generosity, and strategies for addressing social isolation within naturalistic settings.
